The Colorado Buffaloes arrived in Denton, Teaxas last weekend looking to make a statement in their first games as a Southern Collegiate Hockey League debutant. Unfortunately, the Buffs were down to 5 skaters for the entirety of the weekend. That didn’t stop the team, however. CU won their first two games against North Texas and Louisiana Tech by a combined score of 25-0. They then had a tougher test against a determined Sam Houston State, who took the lead early in the game. CU then fought back and took the game 8-2. The Buffs then beat North Texas 10-2 on Sunday morning to go 4-0 on the weekend.
